Winter has come and the doors of The Big Red Church are open to many things ... Sunday morning services ... NA and AA group meetings ... yoga classes twice a week ... the Little Pantry outside being carefully watched over by several members of The Big Red Church ... special musical evenings sponsored by Gordies Coffeehouse and the list continues to grow. Please be sure to find our downloadable rental form under 'Community Rentals' found on the calendar page so you can rent some space for your event, meeting, baby shower, etc.
The Advent Bus Stop ...
Where we are reminded what each of the weeks of Advent focus on! Hope, Peace, Joy and Love!
Advent has begun ...
Lexx, Barbara and George are sitting on the bus stop bench where conversations between members of the church take place each Sunday. Intentional conversations that inform and encourage!
Halloween treat bags
The treat bags made in collaboration with GeNA (Glenelm Neighbourhood Association) for children of the community! It was a lot of fun to hand them out to the many, many children who came by in a variety of lovely costumes! So good to interact with the community again!
Silent Movie Night
Was enjoyed by many! Silent movies shown and accompanied by the very talented Grant Simpson on the piano! Lovely to have live music accompany the hilarious Buster Keaton movies!
Was enjoyed by many on the chilly but very enjoyable Halloween evening ... bringing the community together by The Big Red Church for the first time since the pandemic started!
The new logo is to demonstrate the commitment to having a new name for the church and making it known in a variety of ways.
The Little Red Library ...
The Little Red Library is up outside of the church. The large door holds books for adults and the small door holds books for children. Come check it out!!!
So delighted to be back in the sanctuary of the church on Sunday mornings! Please note that the lights and fans have been upgraded to be more energy efficient.
The Little Red Pantry
The Little Red Pantry has been set up to meet the needs of Glenelm residents who may need just a few more pantry items to see them through the next day, week or month. Please come and take what you may need OR place something in it that you think others may need! Let's look after one another!
